You can get involved in your neighborhood association by participating in any of the regular activities listed below or spearheading an effort to establish a new activity for your neighborhood.
Easter Egg Hunt
UFNA holds its annual Easter Egg Hunt prior to Easter. The exact date and time is determined by the Board and the Chair of the Event and announced to the residents of University Farm. It's held in University Farm Park at the intersection of LaGrange and Hamilton Streets.
This annual neighborhood-wide garage sale is normally held on a Saturday in May and runs from 8AM to 5PM. The Board and the Chair of the Event determine which weekend in May the event will be held.
Ice Cream Social
The Sunday evening before school starts, beginning at 6PM, ice cream, toppings and activities are all offered at University Farm Park.
Block parties are a great way to get to know your neighbors and have a fun time. UFNA can help fund and promote a block party on your street -- just let us know!
A drive to collect dues starts in August and runs through October, with funds going to support UFNA activities. Information for the Neighborhood Directory is also collected at this time.
Halloweenfest is a new tradition that began in 2012. It is held at the University Farm Park at the intersection of LaGrange and Hamilton Streets on a Saturday in October prior to Halloween. There are activities for people of all ages including a Halloween parade around the park.
A night in December is selected for neighbors to put out luminaries along the sidewalks in front of their home. It makes for a beautiful sight to see the neighborhood lit up.
